IV. Favorite Quotes – Running favorites

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God reveled from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by Faith [Habakkuk 2:4].”

– Romans 1:16-17 (KJV)

My Thoughts: There is no shame in having passion about your religious beliefs.

“Successful people blame themselves, unsuccessful people blame everyone else.”

– T. Harv Eker, Author

My Thoughts: How can you learn from your mistakes, if you are always blaming everyone else?

“Big Things happen, when you do little things right”

– Don Gabor, Author

My Thoughts: Only when we are consistent to make micro-changes can we accomplish macro-changes.

“The Stupid Shall Be Punished.”

– MMCM/SS Tommy Connel, Submarine Quotes

My Thoughts: When you do something stupid, then accept the consequence and move on.

“Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.”

– Abraham Lincoln

My Thoughts: You do not always have to say something. Silence can be enough.

Photo by Cliff Foster at Thomas Jefferson Memorial in Washington DC

“Almighty God hath created the mind free. All attempts to influence it by temporal punishment or burdens … Are a departure from the plan of the Holy Author of our religion … No man shall be compelled to frequent or support any religious worship or ministry or shall otherwise suffer on account of his religious opinions or belief, but all men shall be free to profess and by argument to maintain, their opinions in matters of religion. I know but one code of morality for men whether acting singly or collectively.”

– Thomas Jefferson Memorial, Washington D.C.

My Thoughts: Our country was founded on the right to believe in what we believe to be religious truth and defend that belief by logical argument. Society does not have the right to tell religious people what is acceptable believe -nor- punish the religious for the difference in those beliefs and thereby its morality.

V. Life and Age of Man – Cradle to Grave

My Thoughts: There is one constant in life and that is time, therefore we should make the most of what we have and use it wisely. Never sit around waiting for the next stage of life to begin but use that time to your advantage; learn, write, read or simply pray. Don’t waste what little time you have.
